The Ruck to Rise Origin Story
Ruck to Rise was born out of the community built inside Frontline CrossFit. What started as workouts and gatherings among veterans, first responders, and community members quickly became something deeper—a place where people showed up not just to train, but to support each other through life’s challenges.
Through workouts, hero WODs, and community events, it became clear that movement had the power to bring people together in a way that conversations alone sometimes couldn’t. The simple act of carrying weight and moving forward—rucking—became a powerful symbol of what so many in the community were already doing: carrying heavy loads while continuing to show up for others.
Ruck to Rise was created to take that spirit beyond the gym walls. By organizing rucks, community workouts, and outreach events, the nonprofit brings people together to move with purpose, build connection, and remind one another that the burdens we carry are lighter when shared.
Today, Ruck to Rise continues to grow as a community movement rooted in service, resilience, and the belief that when we move together, we rise together.
